A police officer had died, following a traffic accident along Yio Chu Kang Road towards Upper Thomson Road, before the junction of Tamarind Road at about 2.20pm yesterday. He was on duty
at the time of his death.
32-year-old Staff Sergeant Noranzor Bin Abdul Latiff, with ten years of service, was attached
to the Traffic Patrol Unit of the Ang Mo Kio Police Division. He started duty at Serangoon Neighbourhood Police Centre at about 1.00pm yesterday. He was deployed for duty in the Serangoon area. At about
2.20 pm, Staff Sergeant Noranzor and another police officer were riding their police motorcycles along
Yio Chu Kang Road towards Upper Thomson Road when his motor-cycle skidded and landed on the
grass verge at the centre divider, just before the junction of Yio Chu Kang Road and Tamarind Road.
As a result of the accident, Staff Sergeant Noranzor suffered serious chest injuries and was
rushed to the Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead
at about 2.50pm yesterday. Staff Sergeant Noranzor leaves behind his wife and a daughter.
The funeral wake is held at Blk 515 Hougang Avenue 10, #03-169 . Cortege will leave for burial
at Chua Chu Kang Muslim cemetery today,10 Oct 2005 at 1330 hrs.

Baru in June, while I was having my poly gathering, he came with my polymate. He was her husband. We used to remember how he persistently pursue her to be his friend, later girlfriend, fiancee and wife. We were thinking that he is over-protective as my fren don't usually join us for gathering & all. But this time, he allow & he came. That was a bit suprising...
Then I remember very clearly that he was informing us about his wife's disease, lupus. which triggered during prenancy. Due to the lack of white blood cell, victim can easily get sick or can even die without daily medication. He was the one doing the research on the disease, taking care of his wife and daughter. He explains in full detail that we eventually understands the disease.
I jovially mentioned to my fren(his wife), wow, you should be bersyukur ada husband yg understand & loving.
Well, at least, I got to know him a bit. & I know that he has been a good husband to my fren.
